GIVE YOUR VENUE A REASON TO FILL THE ROOM

The Matchmaking Ball turns an ordinary night out into a theatrical social dance: guest-approved nicknames, grand introductions, playful themed matchmaking ceremonies and three-song dance rounds for about half the eligible guests at a time. Everyone else is free to mingle and enjoy the bar. Guests may decline dances or physical contact; romantic matching remains private and mutual. It is a nightlife production first—not a room full of strangers left to work things out on their own.

Gay Speed Dating NYC is produced by HKNY Entertainment. We develop the event format, pursue sponsorship, coordinate talent and manage the agreed guest experience. You provide the room and the hospitality operation that make the night possible.

THE HOSTING MODEL

YOU PROVIDE THE VENUE

Provide an agreed event space, reasonable load-in and breakdown access, ordinary venue staffing and food-and-beverage service. We work together on capacity, layout, accessibility, sound, registration, service flow and your venue's house rules.

HKNY PRODUCES THE EXPERIENCE

HKNY handles the agreed show design, hosts and entertainment programming, sponsor relationships, guest registration, communications and private matchmaking administration. We coordinate the run of show with your venue manager before the event.

THE VENUE KEEPS ITS BAR AND FOOD REVENUE

Under the standard sponsor-backed hosting arrangement, the venue keeps 100% of its ordinary bar and food revenue. HKNY does not take a standard bar split, and the venue does not pay a standard entertainment booking fee.

THE SPONSOR HELPS FUND THE SHOW

Commercial sponsorship supports the production. HKNY's starting presenting sponsorship target for a standard Matchmaking Ball is $2,000, with other defined sponsorship levels available where appropriate. Sponsorship is not automatically secured by a venue inquiry.

WHAT HAPPENS AT THE BALL?

01 · WELCOME & CHECK-IN

Guests arrive, confirm registration, review participation guidelines and settle in. Your hospitality team serves the room as usual.

02 · HOSTED INTRODUCTIONS

Two hosts give each willing participant a brief introduction and theatrically announce pairings using the event's theme, while a coordinator tracks opportunities to participate.

03 · PLAYFUL SOCIAL MOMENTS

Selected pairs enjoy a three-song slow dance or conversation. Other guests mingle, watch and socialize before the next round.

04 · MORE TIME TO MIX

The next themed selection brings fresh dance partners, prioritizing guests who have not yet participated and respecting eligibility and consent preferences.

05 · PRIVATE MUTUAL MATCHES

Participants privately communicate their selections through the designated matching process. Contact details are shared only according to published consent rules—not with the venue or sponsors.

WHAT KIND OF VENUE IS RIGHT?

Bars, lounges, neighborhood hospitality spaces and nightlife venues with a welcoming atmosphere, suitable conversational acoustics, guest flow and space for an organized event. A particularly good fit may be a night when you want a new reason for people to visit.

A suitable venue does not need to become a dating business. It does need to be comfortable hosting a respectful, consent-based social gathering and to provide an environment in which guests can hear each other.

THE DETAILS WE AGREE ON IN ADVANCE

CAPACITY, SCHEDULE & LAYOUT

Together we establish guest capacity, age and event eligibility, registration window, expected program duration, placement of hosts, conversation areas, accessibility and any venue-specific constraints.

STAFFING, SAFETY & SERVICE

The venue remains responsible for its normal operations, alcohol service and applicable premises requirements. Both parties confirm who supplies security, audio, furniture moves, registration support, equipment and any additional event staffing. Each party's obligations, insurance and any applicable permits are documented before confirmation.

SPONSORSHIP, TICKETS & CANCELLATIONS

HKNY and the venue agree in writing on the sponsor-backed commercial structure, any paid guest options, use of names and logos, contingency dates, cancellation conditions and any costs beyond ordinary venue operations. No event is confirmed simply because an inquiry is submitted.
